Our Story
Blockhouse didn't start as a clothing company.
It started as a defense consulting firm — a small team from northern New York that makes its living finding weak points. We assess facilities, harden security, and tell clients the truth about what's going to fail before it fails. That's the job: no spin, no shortcuts, no hoping for the best.
Somewhere along the way, we got tired of our own clothes giving up before we did.
Thin fabric that lost its shape by the second wash. Prints that cracked before the season ended. "Tactical" gear with nothing tactical about it except the price tag. We spent all day advising clients on durability and resilience — then wore shirts that couldn't survive a laundry cycle.
So we applied the day job to the wardrobe.
Every Blockhouse piece starts the same way our consulting engagements do: with an assessment. We test fabrics for weight and wash durability. We print the mark instead of heat-pressing it, because prints that peel are a failure point. We cut for real bodies doing real work — not for mannequins.
If a design doesn't meet the standard, it doesn't ship. Same rule as the consulting side: find what's weak, fix it, or don't put your name on it.
We're still a small northern New York company. We still print to order instead of warehousing containers of guesswork. And every piece that leaves here gets inspected like it matters — because it has our name on it.
Built like a fortress. Worn everywhere.
